The PRESDEX catalogue is a comprehensive, layer-by-layer summary of the primary mechanism of action in many commonly prescribed drugs: how they enter your body, what they change, and what effects that causes.
We give our readers digestible illustrations at every step, from the broadest Organ System (Digestive, Immune, etc.) down to the chemical level, showing what the drug is doing in your body at a molecular scale.

Your brain can only place importance on what it understands, and at PRESDEX, we believe that educating on the mechanism of drug action is the most effective way to increase adherence.
This is what the PRESDEX template does differently compared to other sources that explain prescription drugs. We structure a complex mechanism into increasingly deep layers, with each layer carefully illustrated. Readers can choose the depth that works best for them, whether that's a broad physiological summary or a precise description of an enzymatic reaction.
Our catalog is a student-run venture, and is diligently updated. It serves only as educational. Illustrations and explanations are simplified for the sake of understanding and may not be fully medically accurate. Never use the information provided here to make medical desicions, always consult a lisenced healthcare practitioner regarding changes to medication.

OUR GOALS
Presdex is founded by Canadian University students who believe they can improve and save lives by closing the divide between people and pharmaceuticals. Data shows that at least 100,000 avoidable deaths occur every year due to medical non-adherence, and around half of prescribed patients are non-adherent.
The numbers above are from developed countries with relatively well developed education infrastructure. In rural or underdeveloped regions, gaps in health literacy fuel these non-adherence driven death tolls.
We believe that if you learn why a pill must be taken, it becomes more than a color, shape and complicated name. Access our free catalog or recommend us to your local healthcare provider
